Dalhousie Yacht Club continues to foster a culture of Volunteering and coming together as a boating community. A key foundation of DYC is our commitment to being a self-help organization. Our members volunteer their time and energy to help support the club. Members skills, talents and labour assist with maintenance, admin and operational tasks required to keep the club operating in an effective manner. At DYC we work together to contribute to the overall success of our club. Volunteering Benefits: *Reduces membership fees. *Encourages communal participation, expands your network at the yacht club and builds connections through shared learning. *Demonstrates care for all DYC members. Ways to volunteer range from docks in, launch & haul out, general maintenance of the grounds/ docks and clubhouse, SailPast, cornucopia, yard equipment maintenance, racing events, Officer of the Day, assisting the many committees and administrative tasks to just name a few! Whether you can lend a hand physically or administratively, we all have an opportunity to contribute to DYC. Our self help initiative requires a minimum of 10 volunteer hours per season. Thank you for lending a hand DYC!
